Floating Holders – Shank

This product is designed to enhance your operations while ensuring safety and efficiency. A floating holder is a type of tool holder that is designed to allow the reamer to float freely during the working process. This allows the reamer to self-align with the bore, which results in a more accurate and consistent finish. Floating holders offer versatile solutions across CNC machining, chamfering, reaming, drilling, and tapping operations. Designed for high-precision and high-speed applications, they ensure accuracy and efficiency, enhancing overall machining performance.

Operating Principle , Features and Application

Operating Principle

Floating holders work by using a collet to hold the tools in place. The collet is tightened by a collet nut, which creates a strong and secure connection between the tool and the holder. However, the collet is also designed to allow the reamer to float freely within the holder, this can is accomplished by using a spring or other type of flexible element to connect the collet to the holder.
