Grip down Vises have been engineered to be the ideal solution for work holding for heavy machining. Available in sizes up to 300 mm widths, these vises can accommodate a wide variety of workpiece. The special long box nut produced from wear resisting material feature to minimize jaw wear and to avoids component lift. Initial clamping is done mechanically through handle and final clamping through hydraulic.
Operating Principle:
The floating movable jaw allows fast and safe clamping of rough workpieces that are not perfectly parallel. The precision modular vise in the standard version is supplied with a guided movable jaw running parallel along the entire vise base axis. The fixed jaw can be rotated 180 degrees, and its back step matches accurately with the prismatic jaw step, thereby increasing the maximum vise opening. Jaw plates manufactured with a pull-down angle ensure that, during the clamping operation, the workpiece is pulled downward firmly against the vise base. Adjustable vises are available in various sizes and are defined by base width or jaw width, for example, W100 = base width or jaw width of 100 mm.
